Wendy
Humphrey has been a Realtor on Sanibel and Captiva for 17
years and a resident of Sanibel for more than twenty years.
Wendy focuses on buying and selling property on Sanibel and
Captiva Islands and has the knowledge and resources to guide you
in all aspects of buying, improving, renting and selling your
island property.
Originally from the United Kingdom, she has lived and worked
in Switzerland, Canada and the Bahamas and counts many
international buyers and sellers of real estate among her
clientele.
Prior to coming to Sanibel, Wendy taught at various
international colleges and schools and traveled extensively
throughout Europe, North and South America and the Caribbean.
Since living on Sanibel she has served as editor on both the Island Reporter
and The Islander and contributed to a number of local publications.
She was also administrator of the Captiva Erosion Prevention
District for several years and taught at Florida Gulf Coast
University. She still reports on island life for WGCU radio, the
National Public Radio affiliate.
Wendy has a B.A.
degree from Bishop’s University in Canada and an M.A. degree
from The University of Vermont. Her daughter, Cassie, attended The Sanibel School for eight
